Nothing very original, but here are a few of the things I did during periods of unemployment:
Have lunch with the type of friends who will pick up the tab because you’re broke.
Make a weekly run to the library and make sure to check out at least one “classic” you’ve been meaning to read but never got around to.
Go to a part of your city or town that you don’t really know very well and just walk around and look at things.
