(the downside is the technical aspect and some of the publicity that a big blog host provides!) Nor did it help that I got royally flamed in a Wordpress.com "support forum" -- not something I was used to from other open-source support networks (e.g, for Dot Nuke Net, the content management system we use for many of our websites). To be honest, I probably deserved it at least a little for being so insistent that WP.com had made a major mistake in pulling their "feed stats" off-line, and just wanting to know if anyone knew a work-around.
