Oh, and she now has a police record of her very own, too (greetings through the blogosphere to Officer Bumpas!!)

Next up: The Iowa Writer’s Workshop for a couple of weeks in June. Plus also, thinking about what to do when life plans A through Z have all failed. (lobby the MLA for a longer alphabet?) (Who’s in charge of the alphabet, anyway? Maybe they need to HIRE someone?!?)

You’re going to the Iowa Writers’ Conference! You and Flannery O’Connor and almost everyone else I’ve read in the past century of American Lit? Wow! This is great news!
