Would you feel better about cupcakes if you knew (maybe you do) that in England they’re called “fairy cakes”?

My suggestion: Get out that old Joy of Cooking (the one from the seventies) and bake your own. No Crisco.

Bet your daughter would love it…..

“Ms. Manifesto” was particularly proud of the dog butt portrait. He doesn’t usually stand still enough, she said, especially when surrounded by dainty people with cupcakes.

Pleased to report that I have not been back to that store, not once, no sir.

I do like the time-lapse photography, which gives me an idea for my husband’s upcoming blog, One Thousand Dinners, inspired by a restaurant he discovered on a business trip with perhaps the best name ever: The Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Taqueria (I kid you not). Coming soon, we hope.
