Multiple Personality Disorder: Very Bad for Blogging
August 15, 2008 By: almostgotit Category: How to sell cocaine, Uncategorized, blogging, cocaine, humor, parentingMy blog stats are suddenly way down again, and it’s all my son’s fault. Instead of going to college, he should have moved quietly into our basement and taken a job at Burger King.
Really, if my life would just stand still long enough for me to become properly obsessive-compulsive about something, I would be a great blogger. But critiquing celebrity hairdos? Blogging entirely about blogging? Kute Catz? Forget about it.
What I really should blog about is “how to sell cocaine.” That’s one of my top Google links these days. Yep, beats the hell all out of me, too.

Please don’t laugh at me…but how do you look at blog stats?

I will not laugh. But you might want to stick with cocaine — blog stats are much more addictive (and not, mostly, in a *good* way)
I use Sitemeter.com and Feedburner.com — both are free, and each gives a bit different info. You get bits of code from each of the two sites to embed in your blog (Blogger might not allow you to embed stats coding … Wordpress.org didn’t, though had its own miserly little “stats” tools.) Along with other things, Sitemeter tracks where my readers come from and what Google searches get them to me; Feedburner tells me how many subscribers (regular readers) I have and which posts are the most popular.

How to sell cocaine:
1) Get cocaine
2) Stand on street corner waving bags yelling, “Cocaine here!”
3) Profit!!!!!!
