You know what is the most interesting. As a young dad that did not have a ton growing up, I looked to provide the best for my kids now. However, after the initial excitement, very few of the expensive toys are used for long. I find my boys and my daughter playing outside with things that are free of charge – like sticks, dirt, rocks. Oh and did we forget the magnifying glass and the sun!! I think I am better served saving for college and leaving the playing up to the kids.

Just don’t poke someone in the eye with it! Then we’ll end up with messy, massive consumer recall, sticks will get a bad name, and you’ll spoil it for everyone.

Hmm…I never found the stick to be appealing, but boy, those cardboard toilet paper/paper towel thingies were great fun

I actually did use them as telescopes and trumpets.

What about the ROCK. With a couple of good sticks and carefully chosen rocks, anything is possible. My son’s bedroom was a shrine to the rock.
