February 01, 2009 By: almostgotit Category: Uncategorized… Of posting two times in a row about writing, and how writers write, and blah blah blah, and then not blogging for a whole week. I’ve been sick and messed up, okay? I haven’t even turned on my computer for days. But I did rearrange every book shelf in our house. And take a lot of naps. And finally got to the store so my family wouldn’t have to eat cereal for dinner, plus also to get that kind of kleenex that has the lotion in it so your nose doesn’t get so red and chapped that it almost falls off your face…

Oh, I feel so mean! Pooh Bear asked for those tissues last week when she had a stuffy nose. I told her to put Curel’ on a tissue, but we weren’t buying those kind of tissues…

So sorry. Have you tried a neti pot? It takes some learning but does clear out the head. It’s a lot better than blowing the nose.
Maybe you need some ginger tea.

I hope you feel better soon. I use cloth handkerchiefs, which not only feels really virtuous, but also introduces much less wood pulp to sore skin. Besides, they make me feel butch. Wait — that last remark isn’t a selling point?

I’m sorry that you are ill. I saw at least part of you family at church yesterday, and longed to see you.
I’m not much for those lotion tissues. But, then, I can’t blow my nose, so maybe it doesn’t matter so much.

I have gone through 3 boxes of lotion Kleenex in a matter of 2 weeks. My nose still ended up red and crusty. I can’t imagine what it would’ve looked like if I had gone without the lotion! Perhaps just bone.
