Crashing into dishwashers & other odd amusements

They’re a heck of a lot of work, kids.
But how I do love peeking into their funny little brains, and fortunately mine both still let me do that via their Facebook pages. Here’s the latest:
Almostgotit’s son: has suddenly, really rather abruptly, become a huge fan of “Ticket To Ride.” Awesome song.
Almostgotit’s daughter: I try to learn something new every day. Today I learned that spinning around in circles greatly improves one’s chances of crashing headfirst into the dishwasher.
Our dog Jerry also retains certain violent feelings about dishwashers, so we clearly have some things to work out at my house.

Dishwashers are evil. Our dishwasher chants curses. I’m not going to repeat any of them here.
Carousels, on the other hand, are okay. Except for the one in Mary Poppins.

Eek! That thing used to scare me, too. Er, you did mean it was scary-right?

There are always issues, innit?
I love the illustration you used here.
“Ticket to Ride” is a brilliant song!
I wish you’d have videoed young daughter crashing into said dishwasher!
I love my dishwasher machine. Stay away from it! And your little dog too!

Viewing our children in their worldly personas, as opposed to their homey personas, is amazing stuff. Anytime mine performed in public and I got a look at how they might appear to the rest of the world, my respect for them grew. FaceBook is a tiny stage that, while it may not show them in their best light, often shows them in their quirkiest…and I’m a stone fool for quirky. Why else would I be here?
